To all the people complaining that this set isn’t made by Callaway, do some research! A quick google search on these clubs will tell you they aren’t made by Callaway, they are just distributed by Callaway.
To those complaining about durability; for some of you, I’d suggest only hitting golf balls with the clubs… Or maybe don’t try your best Happy Gilmore impression. It’s pretty obvious from some photos that it wasn’t a golf ball or average golf swing that caused that much damage.
Consider what you’re paying and what you’re getting here. This is a BEGINNER’S SET! A driver alone is $400 and up from one of the “big 5” manufacturers, and that’s not including a bag, set of irons, woods, and putter. Highly doubt many beginners are ready to drop $3k on a full set of PING clubs.
Like with any product, you’re going to have some bad and some good.
All things considered this is a great set for the price.
Driver: Good – Isn’t going to last forever. If you’re pushing pro swing speeds, you’ll probably just destroy this driver after a few rounds or less. Otherwise, forgiving, well balanced, durable enough for the average player.
3 wood/5h: Good – 5h does everything you need it to. 3 wood may have similar problems as driver.
Irons: Amazing! – Very sturdy, forgiving, great ball flight.
Putter: Good – Basic blade with ball alignment. Yes, the bottom gets scuffed. Sorry to burst your bubble, but clubs are going to show signs of wear when used…
Bag/club covers: Great – lightweight, plenty of storage. Better than anyone is willing to give credit for. Covers aren’t anything special, but good enough and aesthetically pleasing.

I purchased the 12 piece set, which is 9 clubs, 2 head covers, and the bag. To be honest, I wish I’d spent the extra $150 for the full 16 piece set. As it is, I’m going to write my review based on if I had bought the 16 piece set (12 clubs, 4 head covers, and bag) because club quality is obviously the same.
I wasn’t crazy about the Driver and 3 wood that came with my set. Nothing was wrong with them, I just didn’t care for their feel. These would be easy to replace however with used clubs at a low rate from Facebook Marketplace or Ebay. The hybrid from my set is very easy to hit, the irons are excellent for feel and forgiveness, and the wedges are very nice as well (though less backspin, but what do you expect). The putter is a little heavy, but I think it’s worth keeping in the bag if you just need a set to play with.
My suggestions are to change out the Driver and 3 wood for a used driver, leave all the remaining clubs in the bag, and add a gap wedge. Add a lob wedge eventually if you’re really serious about learning to use it (Wilson 52 for gap, 60 for lob are my recommendations).
Important to keep in mind: This set is $400 total. That’s not even half the cost of a top brand iron set, and maybe just a little more than a brand new name brand driver. This set will show some nicks on it if you don’t take lessons or have a rough swing. But those nicks are mostly cosmetic. I’ve never had any of these clubs break, bend, or have any sort of functional issue. You won’t wow anyone with how they look. But they’ll cover up a lot of sins with forgiveness, the grips are excellent, the bag is lightweight and top class, and they’ll be good as long as you take care of them. I’m a little over 6 ft 1 and they clubs fit me.
I recommend these clubs for anyone who has never swung a club before and wants to learn, cannot generate a lot of power in their swing with accuracy, intends to play golf 24 times a year or less, or just needs something to get them started. Since I bought these clubs, I’ve upgraded to a used set I put together of Mizuno Irons, Odyssey Putter, Wilson Wedges, and Callaway Driver/Woods. But I still regularly go out and play rounds with these clubs and like them. Like I said, no regrets buying them and would recommend them. Definitely the best boxed set I’ve used so far.

Top of the box was damaged on arrival. I had my doubts when I was opening it. Unsurprisingly, carelessness and incompetence have prevailed. Waiting to hear back from Callaway as to how they’re going to make this right. I’m not going to take the time or energy out of my day to send back a 12 piece set for them to just replace the driver. Will update if they do the right thing and ship me a new driver, extremely fast mind you. I already had to pay more money and upgrade to this set because they back ordered the last set I ordered from them. I had to wait around for a week to finally get the news that they didn’t even know when that back order would end. What a waste. Special shout out to the UPS driver who documented package delivered to person intact. Not the case, and you bet they couldn’t stick around to witness the unboxing, so I filmed it all. Use your shipping insurance, Callaway, and fix your mistake!… Update. They sent me a nice new Callaway Big Bertha for my troubles

Just getting back into golf after being away for 15 years, and two shoulder surgeries. Wanted a decent intermediate set of clubs that didn’t cost an arm and a leg especially since I wasn’t sure how my repaired shoulder would hold up to swinging the clubs again.
I found this set during amzins prime day and pulled the trigger on buying them with the very big discount and I am so happy I did.
These clubs look fantastic, they feel great in your hands, and feel great when you swing them. We went to the range and gpt a super bucket (about 75 balls) and after a few tentative swings to see how it felt I started putting the hammer down and these clubs just performed great for me. I’ve never been a great or even good golfer, but I was hitting pretty straight and with decent distance. The balance and weight are on par with some of the top of the line (and price) of the big names put there. My friends are serious golfers and spend 1000’s of dollars on their gear and they were taking swings with my clubs and they were all impressed. The color scheme on the bag and clubs is really nice looking. I didn’t feel like an outsider loading up the clubs into the cart and driving the course. I will be filling out the bag with the clubs I need like a sand wedge and some of the heavier irons that did not come in the set. I will be buying the matching clubs for the set. If you are looking for a nice set, that is affordable, and durable I would recommend these.
Likewise said I’m just a guy who wants to go smack some balls with my friends and have no real aspirations in golf except to have fun and improve a little bit each time I go.

This is a great starter set.

A solid starter set for beginners and the next level. The irons are pretty good; however, you may need a driver and possibly a fairway as you become better at your game. All in all the Strada’s are a great set of clubs.

Not bad but I’m 5’11 and the seem a little short in length but I like them overall. Quality seems legit and love the blue color. Really fun set

The clubs seem alright (if they were new), but the set I received was very used. Most of the clubs had scratches, small knicks, and the PW even had grass and dirt still on it along with 2 dents that look like someone shot it with a bb gun. This is Amazon’s fault for selling a use set as new, not Callaway.
UPDATE: Received the new set and they look great. Time will tell how they hold up and I will update as needed.
