We have two large dogs that follow us from room to room and at night stay in the bedroom and bath area. They can go directly outside and back in via the bedroom and the beige tile in the bathroom needs frequent wiping up. Over time the grout started to look pretty bad. I tried a number of cleaners from straight bleach to a home made Oxi Clean paste on different areas with limited to no results. I didn’t want to ‘scrub’ the grout because it has been my experience that once you do that the grout just gets dirtier, faster. I was looking for a solution and did some comparison of products on Amazon reading all the reviews. I picked a few and then researched them and the companies that made them making a final decision based on my findings. Although RMR-86 was a bit more expensive it is worth the money. As recommended I tried it on a bit of tile behind the tub and it worked well but wasn’t a really dirty area but it didn’t damage or dull the tile face. I then sprayed it on the grout and took a child’s soft toothbrush and spread it up and down the grout line letting it stand for about 5 minutes and wiped it up with warm water and a white rag. (I read somewhere that cleaners can transfer color from cloth to grout and didn’t want to risk it.) I did the tile in sections and some dirtier areas took a little longer. The pictures were taken of the same tile and you can see below the bottle how clean the grout came. This wasn’t the dirtiest section but now I can’t tell which ones were dirtier than the others it is all back to creamy white.
I would recommend you open a window or use your exhaust fan or both as the smell gets pretty strong. Also be careful not to drip the solution on wood. My bathroom tile butts up to a walk through closet with a hard wood floor and as I was finishing up and backing out the door a couple drops must have fallen on the wood and I didn’t notice. It left a white mark which is fading with repeated application of an old formula my mother taught me that includes a cork, vegetable oil and the cold ash from a cigar. It works almost as well as the RMR-86 does at getting really dirty grout clean.
I still have a half bottle and my bathroom floor is pretty big. I always try to put price in perspective of time needed, ease of use and results…got a lot of bang for the buck. I truly recommend this product and will probably try other cleaning products from the company.

(If you don’t want to read my review, here are the basics… Pictures are of before RMR-86, then 15min soak then rinse, and then 2nd soak for 20 minutes. Turn on a fan when spraying and get out of the room ASAP it burns your nasal cavity if you sit and stare at the magic like me lol) I am completely mind blown. Not many things can do that for me. I had zero faith this would remotely work on the mold behind the caulk around my tub. I figured it might keep new mold from seeping out the edges. I have to scrub around my tub at least once a week. I have used every product in the cleaning isles at stores, let products sit for hours, made homemade concoctions, and nothing had budged that mold. The best I could do was keep the mold from seeping out the edges where I don’t want to throw up when I shower. I was completely embarrassed to let anyone in that bathroom because of the moldy caulk. I am going to be honest and my husband might get mad at me, but we redid the bathroom, but he didn’t check if he bought mold resistant caulk for showers/baths and a couple months in, mold developed. For the past couple years, he has told me he will scrape it out and redo it. Well… after redoing the entire rest of the house he keeps putting that off. Finally, I pleaded with him, and he said fine it will be my next project, I have to grind out the bottom of the grout too. What?! No I can scrub that edge with cleaner and it will be fine once the caulk is gone. He didn’t believe me… so I bought a spinning rough brush and was ready to get to the nitty gritty. I sprayed this stuff around the tub, even on the caulk, might as well keep the mold at bay if he doesn’t get to it soon… and POOF!!! I kid you not 5 minutes later, it looks like half the mold is gone! I figured it’s foaming up and blocking my view of the mold. I came back 10 min after that to rinse it and it wasn’t foam, most of the mold was gone!!! I would have been extremely happy with that!! But I decided to spray it down a second time, waited 20 min, came back in and it was COMPLETELY GONE!! Sorry for the lengthy review but if anyone is dealing with stubborn caulk mold I want them to know this could work for them!

Before I bought this RMR Mold treatment spray, I really considered having my whole bathtub re-grouted. The price of a regout was out of the budget so I tried to find something that could get rid of all the mold in my bathroom before my baby arrives. I stumbled upon an instagram post about RMR and they highly recommended it, saying it works like magic without the scrubbing. For $16 on Amazon, I bought it in a heartbeat hoping for the best and it’s one of the smartest purchases I’ve made! I didn’t think it would work at first but then I decided to try just spray all the crevices on two of the walls including the tub itself. The chemical smell is so strong but I left the ventilator on and aired out the bathroom. After 15mins, almost all the mold was gone. I wish I took a photo of the whole tub before I sprayed! I decided to give it a second coat and leave it overnight. I even did the wall that I never touched yet and was able to get a photo of the magic this bottle can do. I promise, I did ZERO SCRUBBING. The next morning, all the mold was completely gone like I had a professional come in and sanitize my whole bath tub and all the wall. Everything that was black and yellow turned pearly white! I was so impressed! After a quick wash down of all surfaces with hot water, the smell of the chemicals went away and I was left with a beautiful bathroom! I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a fast and effective mold cleaner!!

Three years ago I bought a used washer/ dryer set for my cabin. I hadn’t used it until last week. When I pulled out the laundry, it smelled funky and moldy, which I attributed to my forgetting about the load over night. But then, I noticed the stinky, slimy, black layer that filled the gasket well and discolored the rubber around the front loader glass door. First thing I tried was some toilet cleaning gel with bleach (how different could it be, right?)! WRONG! I attacked it with my trusty melamine sponge and that seemed to smear the goo around and even remove a bit, but I was still left with a thick, crusty layer of it at the bottom of the gasket and in the gasket well. So, I took out a denture brush, from Dollar Tree, that is an excellent cleaning tool. Again, minimal results for the effort I was exerting. Lastly, I tried this miracle product I had seen on one of the many Buzzfeed articles I read. The directions are to wait 15 minutes, but, I’m just not that patient. I sprayed, picked up my melamine sponge and denture tool, put on my rubber gloves (very important to wear protection)
and started scrubbing. Who knows how much time I spent scrubbing, however long, it was time well spent!
Now my gasket is clean and mold free. I ran a quick cycle to wash away any of the chemicals. The bleach smell was strong with this product.
I’m grateful my friend, who recently replaced the gasket on his wash machine, suggested I do everything possible to clean the gasket instead of replacing it! Huzzah, a product that does what it advertises!!

I live in an apartment with poor ventilation, so it’s no surprise that I have developed a mold problem. The bathroom was terrible. I would use this $14 bottle of mold remover from the hardware store and it would take forever to work. Tilex was ineffective after a while. For $30 I got a gallon of this cleaner and was able to fill a squeeze bottle with ease! Literally within seconds of spraying this stuff the mold started to disappear! The first two pics are of the shower before I sprayed and the last four are from a few minutes later without scrubbing . This stuff is awesome the size for the money is a wallet saver. There’s no annoying foam and it works so fast. I made the genius move of cleaning the shower minutes before having to get ready for work, so it doesn’t look the best. I’m gonna clean the entire bathroom again with this stuff. It even got the mold and grime off my shampoo and soap bottles in the shower. Doesn’t leave streaks either! Will definitely buy this again in the future. A caveat, this is very strong, so if you have to clean the bathroom shower clean it last and close the door. The chemicals were so strong even my bleach loving cat kept her distance. If you’re cleaning other places in your home I recommend opening a window. It’s been an hour and I’m away from home and I can still smell the cleaner in my nostrils despite showering and spraying perfume on. I intend to tackle the mold problem in my kitchen and living room with this stuff. I will be a frequent buyer of this stuff!

I purchased this to get rid of some mold and mildew in a smaller, not well ventilated shower. I am amazed at how quickly this worked.
After reading several reviews, I did not take chances, and I made sure to wear personal protection with goggles, a ventilating mask, and I even purchased $9 coveralls – I got it all on Amazon (including the spray) for $45. I didn’t want to take chances.
Wearing the mask allowed me to stay in the shower for longer to cover the whole area. I do have a window in the bathroom and was able to vent out. I had no issues feeling like I could taste it or having it burn my eyes. Within two minutes of spraying, the mold completely disappeared. I went back after 15 minutes and rinsed out the shower. I left the vent fan on for about 24-hours with the window open off and on while home.
It’s embarrassing to see how bad the shower was – especially when you can see how $45 and 30 minutes if prep & cleaning can help.

It’s so worth it! Any dark spots still showing in photos have disappeared since then. Photos show two before pictures and video is 20 min after spraying.

I am so blown away by how this worked so well and so quickly! Check my before and after photos. I woke up to find a leak from my kitchen sink to my basement. I ordered this after finding I had intense black mold on the stud of my wall. It came same day and I did two treatments on the wood. I did another one after this after photo and it looks even more gone. I am so pleased and can’t believe that I found something good quality that worked. This actually works!!! I had many black and yellow mold, stains on my paint, and after spraying most of the spots just once within two or three minutes full of the stains were completely gone! I transferred this to a smaller spray bottle so I can use it in the future if needed, but I was able to use less than 16 ounces for an entire bathroom which is pretty impressive. Super simple to use just spray it and be careful. Do not stand under it if you’re spraying it on a ceiling so it doesn’t drop down on you and make sure to wear a mask as it is a very strong chemical smell.

Amazing!!!! But definitely need a full face respirator. Unbearable smell, coughing and chest hurting within minutes and eyes burning as soon I sprayed it. It will bleach anything clothing material instantly. I had a regular face mask on that helped but not much. Required no scrubbing, just a rinse with a wet wash cloth. Some areas I did have to spray multiple times but not many and it would work within minutes. Amazing product way exceeded my expectations

This stuff saved our bounce house.
We have a white bounce house that we let friends borrow back in October. They rolled it up and returned it, and we tossed it into storage without thinking much of it. Fast forward to May – we pulled it back out for another friend to use, and when they inflated it, the whole thing was covered in mildew stains. Turns out our friends let it deflate overnight so the dew in the morning got trapped and created tiny speckled stains all over it. They tried several different cleaners and nothing worked.
I ordered this product and it showed up the next day. I sprayed it on, lightly scrubbed with a wet sponge, then wiped it down with a clean rag. The mildew stains disappeared almost instantly.
I haven’t finished cleaning the entire bounce house yet because the smell is VERY strong. Even outside, I had to take breaks, so I’d definitely recommend wearing a mask. But the results are amazing.

If you don’t mind chemical smells, this will be your best friend when it comes time to clean your shower. I can spray this, turn on a fan or crack a window, walk away, and in less than 10 minutes, my shower is clean – NO SCRUBBING. Does smell very strong so I wouldn’t really want to get it on my clothes or skin, but I haven’t personally had those issues.

I really liked RMR for bathroom cleaning. I am a busy working women who doesn’t have time and mom. I would scrub A LOT but now I don’t I spray the product to my bath let it sit for few minutes and use a cloth with a little soap to clean the walls and floors without any pressure to my arms and hands. Walla! Is clean!! Really good for mole!! Be careful smells strong. I also spray on top edge of my ceiling fyf I did not scrub there. I only sprayed.

This stuff works amazing! I opened the bathroom window, set up an additional fan-and whoa, this product is strong! I didn’t think anything at first but after exiting the room after 2 minutes of applying I could taste it and feel it in my lungs. Please use caution and PPE when using! Also, remember to save the original cap and remove the spray nozzle after use so it remains potent for the next use.

I have been trying to find something to get the seats on my pontoon right for over 2 years I’ve spent hundreds on products and tens of hours scrubbing and Cleaning. It takes you more effort to get this out of the box than cleaning whatever you need. Sprayed it on let it dry for less than 1 minute and poof GONE!

I have never seen any product like that , I tried zep, bleach, baking soda and what not but the mold wasn’t going away, zep somehow worked but needed a lot of scrubbing but this RMR-86 worked like wonders, I sprayed it all over the shower and with in minutes all the mold was gone , no scrubbing and mind that I barely give any reviews but I was so impressed this time, I couldn’t stop myself to tell you all about this.

This stuff actually works. I sprayed a corner ceiling patch in a small bathroom that was rapidly spreading. It completely disappeared in 30 seconds with scrubbing or rinsing. It may return but I’ll take that anytime over painting the ceiling.
