I have always had at least one dog and I’m used to coping with some dog hair, but I’ve never allowed dogs on the furniture and I also think that my dogs all had hair that was fairly easy to remove.
Fast forward to 2012, and I am in a second marriage with 3 kids. The last “not on furniture” dog died and we got a new dog named Zara. Hubs grew up in a house that allowed dogs on the furniture so when we saw that that Zara was able to jump on the furniture we had to make a decision. We did it the good ol’ American way and put it to a vote. Hubs and all three girls voted to let the dog on the furniture, much to my dismay. Worse, Zara’s hair is like nothing I’ve seen before… once it gets onto cloth, most of the time it clings to the point that the hairs have to be pulled out individually. Vacuuming, tape-style lint rollers, a Gleener depiller, velcro balls in the washer/dryer, Bounce pet hair dryer sheets … they all leave a lot behind.
Fast forward to 2020 and not only am I at my wits’ end with the dog hair, but all three kids are grown women and none of us likes that we can’t sit on the furniture without having to get out a hand-held vacuum and vacuum the dog hair off the back of each others’ pants.
Fast forward one last time to last week when I finally decided to get this Chom Chom gadget. I am ASTOUNDED at how well it works. I think the secret is with the little squeegee on the roller. I’ve tried using a squeegee on carpet before and it really does work, but it is unwieldy, cannot easily be done in more than one direction, and it must be done with a vacuum nearby to gather whatever gets pulled up. Also, then the squeegee ends up with pet hair on it so it needs to be cleaned before it gets put back into service for cleaning glass. With the Chom Chom, you get the benefit of the squeegee, but since it is on the roller, it is easier to do back/forth strokes. And then as for how the dog hair gets off the roller and into the hair collection chamber… maybe it is sorcery? I have no idea how that works but IT DOES!!
In full honesty, I still have to do extra strokes to get all of Zara’s hair (it gets our other dog’s “easy hair” on the first swipe), but the amount that the Chom Chom picks up relative to the number of passes I have to make over the fabric is unbelievable!
Once the chamber is full, I use a handheld vac to remove the hair and then it is ready to go again!
The only downsides that I can see are:
– Some dog hair gets trapped in the side hinges of the door to the collection chamber and has to be pulled out with the fingers. It is possible that if I cleaned it before it got SO FULL, that problem would go away, but we just have SO MUCH dog hair and the gadget is so effective that I would be emptying every couple of minutes.
– The button to open the collection chamber door is right where I place my thumb for strength so I tend to pop it open when I am doing the actual rolling task (I seem to have this problem with a lot of products that have a button in the center, so that might be a “me” problem.)
– The chom chom is 7.5″ wide which is excellent for cleaning furniture, but a narrower version would be better for clothing, especially when the dog hair gets on the clothes while they’re being worn and it would be impractical to remove the clothes (e.g., if you get dog hair on your black pants when you ride in your co-worker’s car to lunch during the workday.)
BOTTOM LINE: I have had this little gadget for less than a week and have already recommended it to several people and wrote this review while I was looking to see if they had a narrower model for my car/office/coat closet. I wish I had owned this years ago, and I would 100% buy it again.

No words. I’m positively dumbfounded at the amount of hair and other debris this pet hair remover picks up!
I have a cat who refuses to sleep anywhere other than in my bed. I don’t mind but she sheds excessively which leaves my bed coated in black cat hair.
I also shed excessively. I have thick, wavy hair long enough to reach my waist and those long hairs end up everywhere, especially my pillows.
I’ve tried everything for the cat hair and to my frustration nothing really works *well*.
•Washing + Drying doesn’t get all of the hair, it gets some but leaves a good amount behind.
•Sticky Lint rollers get alot of it up but if I relied on lint rollers alone I’d be single-handedly keeping those companies in business for the sheer amount of disposable sheets I have to use to effectively remove most of the hair. I go through about a dozen of the sticky sheets to do my bed, pillows, and chair just one time. It’s not very cost effective.
•Other products never impress. Not the rubber pet hair brushes, not the metal “scrapers” or anything else that’s marketed here or elsewhere
So needless to say I gave up and resorted to just keeping an old blanket over everything until it’s time to sleep. The cat sleeps on her own smaller blanket if I can convince her.
THIS PRODUCT HAS CHANGED THE GAME COMPLETELY!!! I just got it today and after just a few short minutes I knew it was a winner, by far. The pictures I shared in my review was from a once over on my bedding that I just lint rolled 3-4 days ago. I was so giddy with the result I ran around my mother’s house where 2 more cats live (including one long hair) and hit a bunch of the surfaces there. I am in disbelief at the amount of hair this thing picks up. It leaves nothing behind.
I even happen to notice that it picked up a good amount of pet dander, which I had never even noticed on my bed before – GROSS!
There was a very minimal learning curve where I wasn’t quite sure how to make it work, but I realized right away that whatever you roll needs to be somewhat taut and as flat/wrinkle free as you can get it. It’ll roll more smoothly and is much more effective that way. I’ve yet to find the best way to clean it yet; so far I just pull out the contents and wipe with a damp paper towel but due to the pet dander I’d say this will need the occasional cleaning with a bit of soap and water.
I plan to pick up a few more of these as gifts for the people in my circle that have pets. My friend who fosters rescues and works in a vet’s office is going to love this!
TLDR: Look no further. Buy the thing! You won’t regret it. I confidently reccomend this pet hair remover. It exceeded my expectations. It is much more cost effective and efficient than sticky rollers or anything else I’ve tried. 10/10 without hesitation.

Let me preface this by saying I don’t have cats. I have two fury beings that whole-heartedly believe they will be MMA superstars in their next lives. I’ve done stupid things in my life…choices that only I can take responsibility for. Between bringing a pair of 10th level demons into my home and the purchase of the king size WHITE bed spread that adorns my bed, I question daily why I make my life harder than it has to be. But, I digress.
I didn’t have high hopes for this thingy ma bob. I’m pretty sure I had just finished my fourth glass of jack and soda when it went into my cart. As I said… life choices. I’m sure the promise of capturing errant fur was the draw for me, that, or either the cute pets in the description. I can’t remember details. You see, the pristine bed spread that I purchased against my better, sober judgement, has become the official octagon for my two fighters in training. My freshly made bed may as well be the bell that heralds the fight to begin, the decorative pillows I place with care seemingly serve as the ring girl announcing the round will begin. The flat surface of my neatly made bed is there for one reason… for the two spawns of the underworld to hone their skills. By the time practice is over, black hair litters the surface. It looks like Cruella Deville finally got away with skinning those Dalmatians for a bed covering. This isn’t a weekly event, nay. This. Is. Everyday.
I have literally myself cleaned out the local dollar store of every sticky roller thing, to the point I get a “wow, you buy these alot” from the regular cashier. Yes, yes I do. It’s either buy these or suck a clump of black hair down my windpipe in my sleep. What would you do Emily ?
To my giddy delight, this product has impressed me immensely. I admit to feeling somewhat overjoyed with a hint of the sting of tears when I rolled this across the surface of my bed and I saw the smattering of black hairs begin to thin. And as I made my final swipe and opened the collection tray, I stood there amazed – feeling as if the $5 dollar scratch off I had splurged on had garnered me a $30 profit. That feeling. You know what I mean.
I cleaned out the little pocket and held the decent sized fur ball up, as the baboon did when introducing Simba to the pride lands. I swear I heard the Heavenly hosts singing. I swear ! And I’m not 100%, but I think I noticed a thin beam of sunlight had broken through the window blinds to cast a triumphant glow onto the cluster of collected follicle glitter I held in my hand.
In closing, get this thing. Just get it. Make your daily existence easier. Remember… life choices matter.
Chuck (verified owner) –
Every time I pick up my cat I reach for this thing to get hairs off my shirt. It works exceptionally well, and actually works better I think than the one they sell at Walmart with the purple clear window and the better grip handle and better spring loaded opening mechanism.
It’s odd because this one just looks so cheap compared to the Walmart one – which I think is Black & Decker maybe… Hold on I can just go walk over and look it’s like 10 ft away I’m just being lazy… Yes it is Black & Decker. The Black & Decker is made better in every way, but for some reason the Chom Chom seems to work better. And it doesn’t even have its logo injection molded into the plastic – it is just a cheap little sticker put on by hand!
I don’t know if this one is just broken in better or what, but it does seem a little bit smoother and grabs hair easier… Or it could just be my imagination.
Either way I am very satisfied with the purchase and the only thing I would suggest they do is put the button to open the hair chamber in a different spot because it is directly in the way when you hold it to use it.
(Apologies for the bad lighting on the photos – I really don’t care enough about this review to do it right.)

If you have hairy pets, dogs, cats or whatever, you need one of these tools to keep your furniture clean and clear of pet hair. It picks up hair as advertised, and as seen in our photo. It works on almost all fabrics so it compatible for most furniture. We have tweed cotton blend. We’ve used attachment for our vacuum, fabric brushes, rollers and none of them have worked as well as this tool. Easy to use push and pull lightly across your fabric. Back and forth, and in multiple directions to get the best results. No sticky pads, or No thin sheets to remove, just 2 two fabric lent brushes with a squeegees along each side that rock back and forth with your manual motion should not snag fabric or fabric damage if used correctly “as advertised.” Again a must have for all pet owners.

My partner bought this to deal with the shedding of our two shorthair dogs. I don’t go in for gimmicky gadgets, and when this arrived, it looked like the gimmickiest of them all. I was dead wrong. It’s a little clumsy and a little slow to use (watch a video to get it right!), but wow does it work. This photo is before/after just a single pass on a dog bed cover. We used to have to beat the cover slike a rug outside and THEN vacuum to get just enough dog hair off safely put these in our washing machine. This thing does better with just one pass. Ingenious.

I cannot recommend the Roller enough. If you have pets—especially cats—this is an absolute must-have tool in your home. I’ve been using this since 2024, and despite accidentally dropping it several times, it still feels as sturdy as new. It’s incredibly durable and built to last!
Effective: It picks up cat hair incredibly easily and much more efficiently than traditional sticky lint rollers.
Reusable & Eco-Friendly: Unlike disposable rollers that you constantly have to peel off, this one is reusable, which is a huge plus.
Results: As you can see in my attached “before and after” photos, it cleared all the hair from my chair in seconds.
It works best if you use a steady back-and-forth motion. Once the storage compartment is full, simply pop it open to empty it, and it’s ready to go again. It’s perfect for furniture, rugs, and bedding.
This tool has saved me so much time and frustration. If you are tired of struggling with pet hair everywhere, do yourself a favor and get this!

Worth the money, easy to use, picks up pet hair (and some dirt) as well as or maybe even better than those sticky lint/hair remover that must be peeled off constantly. This definitely saves money and the best part is that you can see visibly the amount of hair (so much) that it picks up even after using the sticky ones. Doesn’t perfectly pick up the longer cat hair 100% at first brush but swipe it at different directions a few times and it will. Wasn’t sure at first if it was worth the purchase but if you are trying to save money & have multiple pets that constantly shed (ie. cat, dog, wolf etc – i have 3 short-haired cats & a Morkie who doesn’t really shed) then this is worth trying. Works well on couch, bed, upholstered chair, but not on hard surfaces (sticky lint removers work better on surfaces like table, floors, glass). Works okay on clothes while wearing it but I prefer the sticky lint removers as you do have to push this a few times with pressure to work. The best part is that no refills needed so you save money! Fun to use, try it!

I’m a pet dad to two cats, and this roller has completely changed how I deal with pet hair around the house. I use it on my velvet sofa, my fabric dining chairs, and pretty much anywhere the cats like to relax, and I’m consistently shocked at how much hair it picks up … it doesn’t leave a single piece behind!!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this product earned one. It’s such a simple design, yet incredibly effective. I no longer have to deal with those annoying, peely lint rollers where you’re constantly fighting to get the sticky sheet off. This is so much easier and honestly kind of satisfying to use.
So far the quality seems excellent, and I’m hoping it holds up long-term. Highly recommend to any pet parent dealing with hair on furniture!
W Ettel (verified owner) –
I purchased my first one in 2022 and it’s still working great. I also own every other type of hair picker-upper on the market but none come close to these. Why? Nearly all others do grab the hair but you wind up with a long snake looking roll of hair that you will still need to use tape to pick up. Not with this device. All you’ll need to do is open it up and dump out the hair. Now if you have a Shepherd like my Dutchie you will be dumping a lot so I recommend carrying a plastic bag with you to save trips to the garbage container. I read the review that said their’s opens when it shouldn’t but I’ve never had that happen so it could be they are putting their finger to close to the release button. I also use it a lot and never questioned the quality, mine is still going strong and solid 4 yrs later. I use it on furniture, dog and human beds and comforters. It’s more difficult to use on top sheets as you have to keep them flat but it still works with a bit more effort. It’s a lot easier if your more diligent with your cleaning schedule. Only improvement I’d love is if it was an attachment to my vacuum but until then I’ll continue to use and purchase if needed.

Excellent product. It picks up so much dog hair. I keep it right next to my bed and when I’m done playing with my dog I clean up her hair afterwards. This thing is a life saver. No dog hair on the bef

I hope I’m not jumping the gun here, but I just got this delivered today and used it asap. It is soooo good. I have 2 cats that I let sleep with me. My comforter is covered with their hair. I could wash it, and we’re right by where we started in 2 days. You’ll probably say, “just don’t let them sleep in your bed”. They’re my babies! So, I ordered this & it WORKED SOOOO WELL. My comforter is spotless, it literally picked up everything. I just roll over a spot 1-2 times & it’s cleared. I hope it holds up for a long time!

I have a 105lb German shepherd she is the queen German shedder, everyday all day, I love this and HIGHLY recommend it, honestly I have never had a tool for dog hair that works like this, no more dragging my vacuum up on couch this is better than a vacuum I only wish I had this years ago for all the shepherds I’ve had over 45 yrs 👍👍

Just received this and I immediately had to try it out. Amazing! We have two shorthair tuxedo cats and in the summer they shed fur everywhere. It took me about 90 seconds to collect the fur in the picture off of our furniture. See the before and after of the white ottoman they love to sleep on. I was a little hesitant because of the price, but it’s worth it.

Amazing; Incredible; Too Good to be True (Almost); How Did I Survive Without This? Where has this product been all my life of fur?
My dog is a Karakachan-think Pyrenees w even more hair-so much fur on everything I own that it was easier to replace blankets, sheets, etc. No more! This miracle gadget works…mysteriously. Like now you see it; now you don’t! I don’t understand how or why but it’s a miracle.
Janelle (verified owner) –
I love this thing. It really does pick all the hair and lint off of our cloth couch. Def worth the buy since it is reusable! No favric damage from use, it has lasted a year so long and still works perfectly. The compartment opens for you to clean it. It works on all fabrics from thicker cloth to thinner sheets. There are no accessories that came extra with it, but like i said, it cleans itself and is reusable.

I recently inherited a German Shepherd and WOW I was not prepared for how much she sheds! This roller is perfect for picking up her hair from my bedding and couch. I’m so pleased with how well this works and highly recommend it for other pet owners.

I seriously don’t know how I lived without this up until now. I have three long haired dachshunds, so you can imagine the fur. And of course they sleep with us which is what brought me to buy this. Washing our bedding does nothing to get rid of the fur. So when the roller arrived, I washed all the bedding. Then put each piece on the bed and took the roller to it. Over and over and just kept getting fur and more fur! It never seemed to end! If I could give this 500 stars I would! Best invention for fur I’ve ever seen!!!!

I have a Bernese Mountain dog need I say more? I really use it for my white wool carpet in my bedroom OMG there is always black fur on it and this thing picks it up. It works. I gotta crawl around on my hands and knees, but it works. The vacuum cleaner gets all clogged up even though I got a Meihle pet vacuum! the rollers in the head get all clogged up and it’s easier to crawl around in my hands and knees, using the chin chin instead of, with cuticle scissors, trying to cut hair out of the head of the vacuum cleaner.
Kim Henry (verified owner) –
This was so easy to use and picked up so much hair! I purchased this for my daughter who has two cats and used this on her area rug and couch. She thanked my over and over.
Jonathan (verified owner) –
Works amazing! I would buy this for anyone with a dog. I have a Bernese mountain dog. He sheds like crazy! This thing was picking up hair we couldn’t see! Would buy again!
Some cons,
I would pay more if the durability was stronger. It feels fine! But I think if it was more durable, it would last year and years.
I would make the spinning part bigger for more surface area and pick up more hair and last longer.
Other than that! Perfect! And cheap for the value of your money.

I absolutely love this roller! It’s easy and practical to use, and it does a great job removing cat and dog hair, lint, and other debris from sofas, cushions, and other surfaces. Since I got it, cleaning up my pet’s hair has become so much easier and faster. It’s a simple but very useful product that I highly recommend to anyone with pets!
Emily S (verified owner) –
Ok, I was skeptical, at best! But I bought this and used it on my couch first. The fabric of my couch makes it look clean. It. Was. Not. Two of my dogs are shedding so bad and one has anxiety, so I let them on my bed to calm down. There was hair EVERYWHERE! I used this bad boy and my sheet was so clean! The only thing I have an issue with is holding it, I kept opening the trash compartment on accident. Might do better to change the lock to one you have to slide to open amd slide to lock, but its not a deal breaker. Best if you move the hair remover back and forth in small areas quickly, don’t slide it all the way up then all the way down. We were constantly buying the paper rollers, so I love this hair remover!
Susan B. (verified owner) –
I’ve seen reviews of this online and everyone says it’s great, so I finally got one. (Apparently I had it on my wish list so I actually have 2 now!) My cats are pretty much the same colors as my furniture, so there’s no obvious hair, but I do use the ChomChom before anyone visits. I can rub my hand over the cushions and not see or feel any fur so it’s really surprising to use the ChomChom and have it fill up with hair. It works well and is very easy to open up and clean. The rubbing surface is not sticky – it has a fabric with tiny bristles which pick up the fur. It works on every type of fabric I’ve tried including clothing, the sofa and even stuffed animal toys.

I bought this pet lint roller to help with dog hair around the house, and it has worked really well for me. I think of it as part of my pet-hair cleanup toolbox. It does not replace the vacuum for everything, but it is much handier than getting the vacuum out for smaller jobs.
What I like:
• Works well for pet hair
• Easy to use
• Reusable
• No sticky tape refills needed
• Good value over time
• Great for quick cleanups
• Handier than pulling out the vacuum for little jobs
• Works well on multiple surfaces
• I have used it on rugs, curtains, bedspreads, the couch, and fabric-covered chairs
• Helpful for furniture, bedding, cushions, blankets, and other fabric surfaces
• Picks up hair that may not be obvious at first
• Easy to empty
• Easy to clean
• Nice to keep nearby for everyday pet-hair maintenance
• Good tool to have if you have pets
Things to be aware of:
• It works best with short back-and-forth strokes
• This is better on stationary fabric surfaces than trying to use it on clothing while wearing it
• You need to empty the hair compartment regularly
• Do not let the collected hair build up too much inside
• I would wipe the brush surface with a damp cloth when needed
• I would not submerge it in water
• For stubborn buildup, clean gently and let it dry completely before using again
• Like any pet-hair tool, it works best when used regularly
Overall:
This has been a great pet hair remover for me. I have used it on rugs, curtains, bedspreads, the couch, and fabric-covered chairs, and it has worked well on all of those surfaces. It is especially useful when I notice pet hair in one area but do not want to drag out the vacuum for a small cleanup.
I really like that it is reusable and does not require sticky tape refills. You just roll it back and forth, empty the compartment, and keep using it. For me, that makes it much more convenient than a traditional lint roller for furniture and bedding.
This is one of those simple tools that is nice to have nearby if you have pets. It is easy to use, easy to empty, and effective for quick pet-hair cleanup around the house. I am very happy with it and would definitely buy it again.

I didn’t have many expectations despite the good reviews but I am wowed. It works great! I even make it part of my exercise routine to get on the floor and “chom chom” the rug — and have fun while doing it. Really works well. My new rescue cat has a double coat and the hair just floats everywhere despite him being short haired. It grabs my long hair off the carpet, too, which is fantastic. My only minor complaint is that I tend to want to grab it higher and have to be careful not to hit the “open” button on the compartment while using it. Wish it was set lower so I don’t bump it. But in general I am a huge fan, definitely lives up to the hype. No issues with any fabric problems at all, it’s great.
Kim Carville (verified owner) –
Can’t believe my eyes! It works great on many surfaces, besides clothes of course. I like to use it before I vacuum and after to get anything possibly missed. From the durability, different fabric compatibility and size makes it easy to clean areas quickly. I keep all cleaning supplies for animal hair in a side table stand & this fits perfectly. Thankfully the durability is better than I thought having dropped it a few times and nothing broke.

I bought this cat themed pet hair roller for my daughter as she has a Maine coon cat who sheds a lot and does not like to be groomed. My daughter absolutely love this. It works very well keeping the cat hair off of her furniture and rugs. She actually vacuumed her whole rug with this on her hands and knees, and was amazed that all the hair that came off the rugs and furniture, even after vacuuming them traditionally with a regular vacuum this definitely picks up hair off of furniture, rugs Clothes it’s reusable you can take the hair out out of the storage chamber after using it

I’ve got a decent lil vaccum but nothing fancy. Good for carpet and hardwood but wouldn’t not work for the pet hair on my couch. Even with special attachments. THIS lil thing though… works wonders. You do have to go up and down in short/fast strokes. But having my couch pet hairless is amazing. Both my dogs shed a lot so a quick 2-3 min wipe down with this is all I need. So much better than 20 mins with a vaccum that wouldn’t pick up even half of the dog hair. Worth it to buy if you have pets that shed all over your couch.
Crystal (verified owner) –
I LOVE my Chomchom! It’s compatible on clothes, carpet, bed sheets, cars, furniture basically everything! Its super easy to use just running it back and forth. It doesn’t use any sticky stuff so it’s super easy to keep clean and keep going! It is physically impossible for it to damage fabric of any sort and picks up hair and fur you didn’t even realize was still there!

I’ve purchased several different pet hair removal tools and most of them are okay but are not necessarily easy to use or very efficient. I didn’t expect much from this one but I was pleasantly surprised. It actually does what it says. The only challenge is when I am removing pet hair from a blanket or sheet because it requires that you go in both directions to get the hair to build up in the collection area. It’s a small inconvenience and I am very happy with it otherwise.
Tina (verified owner) –
This is the most amazing thing I have tried for pet hair on furniture and I’ve tried everything. It really does get embedded or loose hair quickly, rolls it up inside and with the push of a button, you take out a nice neatly wrapped roll of hair. I took a chance, as most products simply don’t deliver, but this one absolutely does!!
Ashley (verified owner) –
This has become a staple in my day-to-day routine as I have a kitty who is super fluffy and hairy and is always making a huge mess on my furniture. It used to be a hassle to remove all the hair off my bed and I went thru so many lint rollers and felt like I was spending too much, so finding this product was honestly a lifesaver. It picks up SO much hair, is a breeze to clean, and makes tidying up so much easier now.

I bought this thinking it was just another gimmick but this roller is AMAZING! I’ve had it for about a year and it’s still works like new. I’ve been keeping it on the deck to use on the patio furniture that the cats love to lounge on and getting another one for inside. Works so much better on furniture than a sticky roller. Don’t hesitate you won’t be disappointed.
