I bought this after watching the movie *Wuthering Heights* and wanting to match Catherine’s lip color—rumor has it she used the “Rose” version of this balm. The effect is very close, though you do need to apply a couple of coats and touch it up throughout the day. If I apply too much, the color tends to settle into the lines of my lips after a while (once it dries), though it’s easy enough to blend out. The balms feel soft on the lips, don’t leave a strange taste, and provide a subtle, natural tint. I prefer the “Rose” shade because of the specific look it gives my lips—my natural lip color is very pale and cool-toned—whereas “Red Dahlia” ends up looking a bit too neutral for my taste (though still pretty). The quality is good—better than other lip balms I’ve tried—and they don’t leave my lips feeling dry once the color wears off, though you definitely need to reapply them throughout the day. Overall, it’s a solid product, but I’d only repurchase the “Rose” shade. I hope this helps someone make a choice! 💪❤️

This goes onlike a smooth chap stick. Keeps lips moist and makes them smooth. No chapped lips. The bonus is the color. If you want just a light hint of color put it on one lip and press lips together. If you want the full color put it on both.I will definately buy it again. I look forward to many color choices.Also its not sticky or pastey.

To the makers of Burts bees Red Dahlia tinted lip balm. I love it… it is a great shade, NEVER dries out my lips. I keep these all over my house and in my bags and vehicles. BUT… this is the ONLY color that does that! ALL of the other colors dry my lips, chap them.. the colors are very fake and sit and cake on the lips in a strange way. Whatever you did with the red dahlia, do EXACTLY that with others… and maybe work on more natural colors. We are adult women, not 8 year olds… PLEASE replicate the formula for Red Dahlia and give us better colors!!!! 🙏 Thank you!

I have naturally pale lips, sometimes so much so that if I don’t have any lip color on, people will think I’m sick. So when I leave the home for any reason, even if I don’t have any makeup on, I will wear a tinted lip balm and this is the one I keep coming back to.Red Dahlia is the perfect enhancer for my natural lip color. It makes my lips look like they do when I get a natural tan – nice mixture of red and brown without looking too warm. It’s the easiest of all colors to just slab on. And of course, it’s moisturizingMy only small issue with it is it’s durability. Of course a lip balm wouldn’t last ages on the lips, but I would expect at least an hour or so. The hydration is there for longer, but the color fades quickly, so if I’m out for longer than a trip to the supermakert, I will have to make sure to reapply it frequently.

Excellent moisturizer and love the tint. This is the only lip product I use! I have it in my purse, on nightstand and at my desk.I do have to apply it all throughout the day but have not found product that keeps lips moisturized and adds color that can be applied only once or twice a day.
